You can create and share a countdown without creating an account or providing an email address. There is no sign-up step. The tool is free and works entirely in your browser.

Countdown data

When you create a countdown, the information you enter — such as the countdown title, date and time, message, colors, theme, and other display settings — may be stored on our servers. This stored data is what powers the shareable display link and editor link for your countdown.

We do not attach this countdown data to any personal account, name, or email address. It is stored only so the countdown can be displayed and shared.

Display links

A display link (sometimes called "Share Timer Only") is a read-only link to your countdown. Anyone with this link can view the countdown on their own screen — a phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, smart board, office monitor, or event display. The display link does not allow the countdown to be edited.

Editor links

An editor link allows someone to return to your countdown and make changes — including the title, date, message, or appearance. Because editor links grant edit access, you should keep your editor link private and only share it with people you trust to update the countdown.

Uploaded images

If you upload a custom background image for your countdown, that image is stored on our servers so it can be displayed when someone views the countdown via a display link or editor link. We do not use uploaded images for any other purpose. We do not make guarantees about how long uploaded images are retained.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. This includes information such as:

• Which pages are visited and how often
• How long visitors spend on a page
• General device and browser type
• General geographic location (country or region)
• Where visitors came from (search engine, direct, referral)

This data helps us understand which tools are being used, identify errors, and improve the site. Google Analytics may use cookies to collect this data. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using browser extensions or your browser's cookie settings.

Affiliate and sponsored links

Some pages on this site contain affiliate links or sponsored product recommendations — for example, links to relevant products on Amazon. Deleting or updating a countdown

If you need help deleting a countdown or removing an uploaded image, please email us with details about the countdown (such as the URL or countdown title) and we will help as soon as we can.
